On May 8, 2021, Professor Xin Shaojie, the discipline leader of mechanical engineering, and Professor Cao Fenghua, the discipline member, visited Mr. Han Mulin, vice president of China Forging Association and professor level senior engineer, at the headquarters of China Forging Association in Beijing. The two sides had a discussion in the conference room of China Forging and stamping Association, and Wang Jishe, a staff member of the association, participated in the discussion.

On behalf of China Forging Association, vice president Han Mulin welcomed Xin Shaojie and his delegation, and introduced the basic situation of China Forging Association, the main work completed in 2020 and the work arrangement in 2021. Professor Xin Shaojie introduced the specialty and discipline construction of Mechanical College and the purpose of this visit to China Forging Association. The two sides had a heated discussion and reached a consensus on the start-up, operation, scientific and technological breakthrough, cultivation of scientific and technological achievements, technology promotion, formulation of national or industrial standards and talent training of Shanghai multidirectional die forging engineering technology research center. Vice President Han said that China Forging Association will make full use of its own advantages and the advantages of member units to support the construction of Shanghai multidirectional die forging engineering technology research center. Key support will be given to joint research on multidirectional die forging technology and application, talent training, industry standard formulation, application of National Engineering Center and project cultivation of national science and technology progress award.
